A Call for Action and Bravery

We’ve spent the last seven years building a global community committed to a world that works for everyone. We are grounded in our family value of creating safe and nurturing communities where we invite people to be inspired, inspiring and brave. Our business model is designed to create ripples of impact from Colorado to Guatemala to Uganda, investing in women-led businesses and supporting the transformation of entire communities.

Along the way, we’ve confronted our biases around poverty and our roles as privileged western women. It’s been uncomfortable. And critical. And ongoing.

Inside this safe and nurturing community, we are deep in conversation confronting race, privilege and inequity in the United States. We know that Black Lives Matter. What we don’t know, yet, is all the ways we’ve been thinking and acting in opposition to that fact. We know this exploration will be uncomfortable. And critical. And ongoing.

We also know that the safe and nurturing community we’ve fostered for the last 7 years is the perfect place to plug in for support and accountability as we continue this deeply personal work. We invite you to plug in, too.

Please join our private Facebook group, We Are the Ones – Amplifying Conversations to Elevate Humanity, a community committed to creating a world that works for everyone—not through “charity” or “helping” or any other word that further entrenches “us/them,” but through the development of true community, authenticity, and partnership. Our first conversation was on racism, privilege, and how we do better. The live portion was recorded into the Facebook group so you can re-watch. We are grateful for the courageous people who have been working tirelessly to wake us up to our privilege. We are grateful for this community and promise to continue to amplify conversations that elevate humanity.
